I've recorded the video and it's uploading right now. It'll be available here when it's done:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zZ60OG8NDY
Unfortunately I forgot to show both my Wii Menu and Homebrew Channel version. :/ (was detracted by trying to prove that my SD card does indeed work

)
EDIT: My internet connected borked slightly while uploaded, so I had to start it over. I've updated the above URL accordingly.

still thats odd...
just to confirm; ill upload my latest work for you to try.
its weird it worked for me but not for you :/
if by magic it does mount now you can dump a GCI and see if dolphin will accept it

(im working on GCI dumping & restoring)
http://www.dacotaco.com/ctr-gcs-DacoTaco-Edition.zip
I'd love to try that newer version out...if that link actually went anywhere.

connection reset error?
if so, my server is having some issues it seems
go to
http://www.dacotaco.com
then click the link i gave
That time the link worked, but alas the program sill doesn't. It said "An unknown I0 error was returned"
That said, does it require some meta.xml file that I'm not using or something? See:
SaveGame Manager GX without cIOS
no it doesn't.
the only reason savegame manager GX requires AHBPROT is because it patches ios so it can get the wii save files.
that said, i can't figure why your card wont mount eventho the wii system menu unlocked the card (that trick worked fine for me ... :/ )
Are you using a 254 block memory card?
(Note that I ONLY have 254 block cards)
first i think you mean 251 (256 being its real size, 251 open blocks)
second; yes, it was a 251 Memory card
third , i tried it on my cousin's wii & his 251 mem card and i got the dump just fine... (4.1 or 4.2 wii. can't remember what it is; but its < 4.3 & > 4.0 )
ofc, i still had to unplug the card , replug it in , go to the memory card save file menu in the system menu and then go to HBC and boot my app
but it worked none the less
I just tried the newest version & did the unplug-then-replug method and it STILL didn't work.
Me no know seƱior.
Daco, sorry to bump this twenty days later, and thanks for the app, but the gci i tried to restore, successfully restored, but at the gamecube memory menu, it shows as a save file that says "iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii."
any suggestions?
do i need to have cMIOS installed or something?
p.s. its a gci (ZTP) exported from dolphin
its a third party memory card.
