I want to play Twilight Princess as best as possible, but am not sure if I should play the wii version or the GC version, which one is better in performance, playable, etc.

I have both games and noticed, that the wii version is a little slower, but is more complete, having better sound.

Is this right? or are both equally playable and have the same results in fps.

I can play the GC version at around 27 fps, and Wii at 24.

Generally I am just wondering, does it make any difference comparing both? I searched for such a comparison thread throughout your forum but found nothing...

Everything is mirrored, Wii version can be played in 16:9 aspect ratio,(without transparency distortions) Wii version will be a pain to play without a Wiimote.
1. Wiimote vs. controller
2. Widescreen support only on the wii version
3. Manual camera only supported on the gc version
4. World is flip flopped (left ir right, right is left)

These are literally the only 4 differences between them.
the wide screen support on the wii version is an aspect hack.
there are several game breaking bugs in the wii version as well.

the wiimote support tacked on is crap.

So in speed (fps) there is no difference?
And is it true that the wiimote doesnt work well (crap)?
What do you mean with that the world is flip flopped? is this in the wii or in the GC?

So with your experience which is more playable and enjoyable the wii or the gc?
Thank you for your time
Unless you need widescreen I would go with the gc version. I pretty much agree with squall.

For some reason I thought you were referring to the game in general, I know stupid of me to think there would be game breaking bugs on the real hardware as well. Tongue

What kind of bugs are there with the Wii version on Dolphin if you don't mind me asking? I've only really played the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess on Dolphin even though I also have the Wii version.
weird. i have had no issues on tpwii as of yet. wiimote works perfect, no graphical glitches, and an almost perfect 30 fps. i think i did experience slowdowns but, it was on a specific build.

i remember when the game was first in development for the gc, i had never heard of the wii yet. then, out of the blue, they marketed it mostly as a wii game, which was a complete surprise to me. i expected wii to get it's own version of zelda. which i guess we will be getting in the near future. at any rate, the wii version looks better, which is why i decided to play that version with the emu. i guess im getting a little old for zelda tho, as the game feels like a chore to me moreso than an adventure.

nope. both versions are the same, the wii just has its output resolution slightly higher, but emulated neither is better than the other. except if you hate tacky controls.
