ok so i just got my last parts to build my pc today.
amd phenom X4 965 BE 3.4 ghz
galexy gtx 460 768 mb edition
2x 2gb ram, cheap 40 bucks
Gibabyte mobo
----------------------------------------------------------------
ok so i tested on dolphin 2.0 and the latest revision
tested game mario kart double dash, and mario kart wii
on 2.0 and latest revision i did default all settings except screen res 1024 x 768
i was getting 100 percent 60 vps and 20 fps(constant)
even though it said 100 percent speed i could tell it was half the speed at most
after setting the max fps to 60 i would still get 100 percent speed but the fps would be all over the place from 20 to 60 average of 50, i could tell it still wasn't full speed
so i retested with the performance and information ctrl +alt + delete thing open
not one of my cpu cores was ever at full capacity, they were usually at 75% high and 50% low
------------------------------------------------------------------
has anyone been able to get full speed and what were your settings?
my cpu is 41c stock cooler after a gaming session when i look in the bios
note: stock cooler and thermal pad
i have artic silver thermal greese, would that be batter to have instead of the stock thermal pad? should i take apart my gpu and apply artic silver to its cooler?
i don't think its the gpu because no matter what resolution i set it to i will receive the same results
Have you tried other games?
Tried turning off audio throttle, setting framelimit to 60, and turning on "use fps for limiting"?

do you when there might be a 3.0 instead of the aging 2.0?

If you can't get good speed on 2.0 you won't be able to get good speed on any build. So no. Besides 3.0 won't be released for at least another few months at the minimum.

i've decied to sell my galexy gtx 460 768mgb on ebay for 150 plus the free game thing it came with, so i can upgrade
Ok but don't expect to see any improvement from that if you're running your games at 1024 x 768 with an auto efb scale.

change video wont do nothing same spec work perfect show us your setting i play at max speed with aa 16x ssaa 4 x
Ok i looked at a few of the settings and got full speed on mario kart wii on revision 7xxx
i was playing 1440 x 900 with 60 fps max and audio throttle disabled, i got a steady 100 percent
then when i played super mario galaxy i was getting 100 percent, i limited the fps to 120 and got 200 percent but i could tell it was really 100 percent. I was doing good till i got to the save room ship thing were i was getting about 60 to 70 percent.
on single player mario kart wii on 7xxx i get 100 percent steadily, but on two player i get about 60 to 95 percent usually in the mid 70's. i was wondering if others have this problem when on two player split screen.
i was going to sell my gpu because it was like a vaccume, but i redid myh case and its not so bad now, my cpou is usually 54 is that good for half usuage? amd phenom x4 965 be 3.4 ghx non overclock
i get full speed with 2 players on mario kart. i think i have the same cpu too. this is how i do it:
lectrode rev5739 x64 sse3, set vsyn on, disable frame limiting, disable audio throttle. in 2 player mode, the vps will be well above 200% (although the game is really running at exactly 100% speed), the fps may drop to low 50's but somehow miraculously the speed stays constant and perfect.
i had posted this over at the svn discussion, as i havent got 2 player to work with any other revision/setting combination. i am sure that the game's vps must run at 2x speed when the game is in 2 player mode. i have seen other games that have a vps of 2x the fps. its like something is missing in the code of newer revisions that allows mk to have the proper vps while playing split screen. at any rate, the game is fully playable in this rev. and as i have it working perfectly on my system, i am really done getting on my soapbox trying to preach at people how to play this game. i also posted all this information in the official mk thread as well. i guess people don't really care about getting it to work if it requires using an old revision.
neway, i guarantee it will work this way as i've played every level with 3 players at 1080p on my bigscreen with no slowdowns.
