I start the game and it asks me to plug in the numchuck, i have a USB gamepad plugged in, how do i configure it so i can use the gamepad?

Load the emulator, go to Wiimote/configure/extension, select nunchuck. Map the buttons to your joystick.

i have tried that, here is my control configuration below

No you didn't, if i look at your screenshots

i dont understand what you mean, i have mapped it out right? what am i doing wrong?

ive followed those steps but all i come to is that screenshot i posted

i clicked on wiimote, clicked configue but i find nothing called extension?

It is under Shake
