This is an excellent point.

I used to own a Wii, and as soon as I got a 1080p LCD, I SOLD it, because it looked HORRIBLE.

There are only 2 games, which I have any interest in playing. SMarioG2, which is presently working and playable! Awesome job Dolphin staff!

And the 2nd title, is now Skyward Sword. But I do not wish, to buy $80 worth of accessories, just to play ONE game, and then NEVER use these accessories ever again.

I truly hope, that someone who is forward thinking, and is a part of the Dolphin staff, will put this forward as a revision, for the next update.

I'm sure, that there are MANY people, who feel the same way. No one, wants to spend money, on accessories, which they will only use, for one game, and then have them sit there, as the console is pretty much at the end of its lifespan, and Nintendo is already announced the release of their new system.

Please add wiimotion+ soft emulation, in whatever way works, providing a close approximation of the actual device. Close is good enough. Just make it, so that we can play Skyward Sword!!! Smile

Many thanks, in Advance ~

No one could said it better...

Juan, thank you! Smile

I hope, the good people here, will take notice and maybe add some kind of integration, for those who do not wish to purchase $80 worth of controllers, just to play 1 game.

Either way, I am a huge fan of the work that the Dolphin team has done, and feel they have made an exceptional product!

I can't say that about any of my other emulators without hardware mods or dongles. I'd love to be able to pick up an old ataari 2600 joystick and plug it in to my htpc and just go.

I'm not putting down your request, I'm just questioning how you are trying to sell the need to the developers.

Debennet,

You raise a good point! Smile It is a great option to have, if one desires to play with the original accessories.

But in our case, we are not given any kind of alternative or choice.

You clearly have a preference for using the actual Wiimote. And when I had a Wii, I really loved the remote. I feel, that is was one of the best remotes, in like the history of gaming. (Don't know why Nintendo dumped it, and will not be using it, on the next gen console? What a waste - that's another subject altogether).

But seeing as I have played ALL the games I intended to play, on my Wii, and then consequently sold it. Now, there is only one title, which I do wish to play, but have no alternative, other than to buy hardware from the Nintendo. And then all those pieces, will just there, collecting dust, because there will not be any more games I would want to play.

This is a legitimate concern, and I am sure, that me and Juan, are not the only ones, who fall into this demographic. We simply want to use the emulator, for full emulation.

Also, Debennet, there are people, who have all the right gear, first party stuff, and STILL have issues with playing the games. That's another huge reason, to not make the purchase.

Presently one would need

1) Wiimote w/ motion+
2) Nun-chuck
3) Sensor Bar
4) Usb Dongle

So your point, about not needing a dongle or special hardware, that is not entirely correct. Those 4 items, are quite a long list of requirements, to play 1 game, and factoring in ALL the responses from people who have made the investment, bought the gear, only to find there are still performance problems. It does feel a bit risky.Huh

But I do agree with you! Smile The Wiimote, is an amazing controller. If I didn't have the PS3 and all the games and money that demands (Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed3), and if I didn't already clear all the games I wanted to play on the Wii, it would be a blast using the 1st party controller on my PC!Wink

ps. (An Atari 2600 controller? Really??? Smile That thing, even back in like 84', was a weird contraption. Collecovision's controller, felt much better! LOL!!! Smile )

- DOLPHIN TEAM - if you're listening - PLEASE ADD some kind of integration, for WiiPlus, into your emulator, so that we can play without being required to dump $80 on accessories which will NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY, past 1 title, Skyward Sword.

Either way, we LOVE the product that you've have made ~ you are a gifted and highly creative group. I can only hope, that our request, will be given some consideration ~
Hey, can, you, stop, typing, like, this.

I, could, try, but, I, can't, make, any, promises! Wink LOL!!!

I, didn't, know, that, my, punctuation, could, have, such, a, profound, impact, on, someone's, disposition.

Hey, can, you, learn, to, relax, ever, so, slightly ~

All I want to know is, How can I simulate a virtual swing in Wii Sports- Bowling?
Using the emulated WiiMote Software bundled with Dolphin 3.0?
Only using the KB/MS/DInput(Logitech GamePad F310)
The New Mario Bros. Wii, works really good. Just glad not having to shake the controller any more, just a simple press of L1(after mapping, shake to L1). But I still catch myself doing it anyways.
I don't really go out of my way getting a real Wiimote, Nunchuck, Sensor bar(heard candles work, though) and that bluetooth thingy.
Any thoughts would be totally welcome!!!

After extensive research messing around with the controller settings.
I finally got the swing feature to work by setting the shake button!
Seems unfair to solve my own post question....high five!

Most people, who are looking to purchase your system, kind of expect the accessories to come with the bundle.

It is more or less a standard, when it comes to buying/selling used stuff.

I guess any used systems you've owned, you purchased WITHOUT any kind of included accessories? You were completely content to buy the console and then go out there and buy all the accessories on your own? Is that what you're saying?

Didn't think so ~

Um... Piracy...?

My situation was clearly described. I have ZERO interest in playing anything other than Skyward Sword, and have even less interest in buying accessories that will then sit there collecting dust after I clear the game.

I have given Nintendo a great deal of money over the years.

So um... maybe watch the Assumptions... ?
Can someone please clarify the question of the topic?

Wii Remote Plus (Motion Plus) Support? (the integrated one! not the addon!)
