I wasn't sure and I was too lazy to read through the thread so I just added that just in case.
That is so strange to see an IDE cable.

yeah I did not want to have to install sata drivers for XP and I had 2 IDE drives lying around so I figured I would use them (although I will probably only use 1) Tongue

Huh

Well I wouldn't go for anyone of them, but since I saw you posting a question about length in another thread for the Sapphire then you probably have made up your mind about it.
But if it really stood between the two, I'll guess I had chosen the Sapphire one.

Yeah, I figured it is faster and cheaper so why notTongue. Really my only question was if it would fit.
A 5830 isn't THAT much faster than a 6770/5770 (and a 6770 is certainly enough for dolphin). So if you're not sure if it can fit I would just grab the 6770 even though the 5830 will give you better performance per dollar.

But that's just my opinion. You could also order the 5830 and if it doesn't fit just return it and get the 6770. Gotta love newegg's return policy.

Yeah that's what I was going to try to doTongue

except the 6770 isn't even in the same architecture or performance tier as the 5800 series, where only the 6900 series is an upgrade.

The 6770 is just a rebranded 5770. And benchmarks show the 5830 being barely faster than the 5770 most of the time. Therefore the 5830 is barely faster than a 6770 (slightly more shader throughput, moderately more vdram bandwidth).
