I can definitely agree with you on the speedup but it does cause an issue in Twin Snakes when using it along with HLE audio (well at least for me). The controls start acting weird and it's difficult to aim, peek around corners, etc.

I was thinking just that, actually, and I've got the afternoon/evening off, so... :)

I'll add in the games included in the original post right away. Any other games seeing benefit?
Okay, I have all of the INI files updated. I'm going to be pushing them to my recently-created branch soon enough:

And...committed. :D

edit
i guess i made a mistake in test :S
by accident i had enabled copy to RAM instead to texture
and it was giving m faulty results Tongue
disabled idle skipping provided more speed with RAM but coused slowdowns with copy to texture

-----
my bad
keep up a good testing
good job

----
oh well i guess i was playing whole day with copy to ram and didn't noticed difference Tongue
thanks intel
If you are talking about topic I made, disabling idle skipping is for making lle sound better Smile
But in my experience it does slow down a little pretty much any game I tried.
So I guess question is which is more important speed or lle sounding better
yeah your topic is i question
very good find thou

and yes its from game to game, dependable

Cons:
I've seen more speed hits than increases with A.V. Beam on. All of these games run at half speed with this option active (I'm glad this option is off by default):

Captain America
Crash of Titans
Sega Racing
Worms Battle Islands

Pros (VBeam active):
NSMB +5 fps (at least with EFB>Ram)
RE Darkside Chronicles = FIXES gunshot sfx - if off, the sfx doesn't always trigger/fire.
Personally I don't think we need any more forced settings that some people think a game runs better or worse with. People should decide for themselves and use the settings that they feel work best for them. Some settings won't necessarily work well for everyone and we shouldn't assume that they will just because it worked for you. I personally don't want a bunch of settings enabled that someone else decided I should be using when I run a game.
disagree, with the vbeam settings atleast.
