Hey, there, im new to this forum but im hoping some of you guys can help me, when i play super smash brothers brawl, it works really well when i just do 1v1, but if i add in another enemy the frame drops down to 35 and it plays it in slow motion, i was wondering if there was a way to remove the slow motion effect and have it just play normal speed at 35 fps, if you guys understand what i mean. Also i was wondering what the best revision of dolphin is for this game and the best performance settings so the frame rate stays high. Thanks alot!

heres my pc specs incase anyone wants them,
1.8ghz dual core
1tb hd
2 gigs of ram
Zotac geforce gt 240 AMP!
win xp 32 bit

Yes i am aware i need a new processor Tongue

Thanks alot! - Rollo
Well if your new processor is good enough you won't have the slow-mo anymore. Mine only has slowdowns on a very few stages with 4 players.
i cant get a new processor for a while, which is why i am currently asking this question, but thanks tho.
go and sell some wii / gc games...

i sold this week my zelda the windwaker for 25euro
and the zelda gc collectors edition for 45euro...

but there is no chance that you will get that game to fullspeed with only 1.8ghz...

with 2.2 or 2.5 it would be possible.

The emulator is cpu intesiv...
if i deactivate 9xAA my gpu runs at 0 to 10% load Wink
with 9xAA at 30-40%

If your new processor has 64-bit support it may also be worthwhile upgrading to 64-bit xp as this will give you a speed boost as well.
i can run the game full speed when its 1v1, and i cant get a new processor for a while, i was asking what the best version of dolphin is for this game (super smash brothers brawl) and what the best settings for dolphin are to run this game
you wont get fullspeed in this game with that rig (CPU).... even with a 64 bit OS.

you need to upgrade your CPU.... but 1,8 ghz dualcore? hmmm, laptop? or old pc?

if its an amd than you have am2 socket.... then you should get new mainboard, ram and cpu.
AMD with am2 socket is not so good for dolphin. laptop or PC, doesn't matter.

if it's intel with 775 socket, then you are lucky... then go for e8200-8600 and oc it! it will give you a damn nice speed boost!

if you have a i3 with 1,8 ghz, then its a mobile, DONT OC IT! get new cpu for it then. i have never seen a Power PC with i3 and 1,8 ghz dual core.
get and i5 460M for you mobile then. it's the best choise for playing dolphin on a laptop. 2,5 ghz dual core. you will get good speeds in nearly every game with that.

if you have a P-Socket then get P8200-8400. they should be enough for SSBB.

anything older than that is really shit for dolphin ! ! ! ! ! then you should throw it away Big Grin

and if your current PC is a Power Computer, then try overclocking it... and see if it brings you some good results.

and if, and if, and if, and if....

sry i have bad english...
3.8 ghz phenom here, no frame drops on ssbb. ever.
i dont think you guys are understanding my question, i am asking what the best settings for dolphin are for this game.
Anything from the basic guide for performance will do just fine. SSBB isn't really special regarding that, and it's actually one of the games that doesn't require much of a great CPU to emulate it(A friend with dual core 2,3ghz and a decent GPU can play it 60fps most of the time)

As regarding to what's the best revision, I would love to put you in the same situation and ask you that question, considering there are nearly 5000+ usable revisions. Though I guess it doesn't hurt to ask right? Sorry for being rude, it's just that everyone makes the same question expecting people even know such an answer... I'd say just try out the latest rev and the official 2.0 release.
