Hi there,

I've got a Wii and a lot of games. I'm leaving my country tomorrow to spend 3 month abroad. I love my wii and want to be able to play my games on my laptop.

Will I be able to fully play my games on Dolphin with my official wiimote ?
Will i face compatibily problems ?
Is this emulator reliable enough to use it as a real wii (I will plug it on a HD TV) ?

I have no wii pad, can I use my PC pad (a 360 wired controller) to emulate it ?

Many thanks
What the laptop specs?

1. Once configured and the proper requirement, yes.
2. Depends on the game you're playing
3. Depends on how good the laptop or pc is.
4. Once configured, yes.

Thanks ! The laptop http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-m15x/...15x&~ck=mn

I've just dowloaded Dolphin and tried Donkey Kong and it runs perfectly smooth but i've been unable to play with a 360 controller. I don't know how to connect my Wiimote to the PC. How to use the Wii Bar to make the wiimote work with the PC ?

Is there a game compatibility list ?

Thanks!

That explains how to get the wiimote to work with your laptop.
Most Laptops have Bluetooth built-in, so check that first, before going out to buy a USB Dongle.
For games that require targeting, you need to purchase either a Wireless Wii IR Bar, or a USB Powered one. (Read Post 4 @ this link to find a nice usb powered one)

Since you are in a hurry, you can just buy a wireless one that runs on batteries at your local Video Game Retailer; ie: Wal Mart, Best Buy, Gamestop, and so on.

Many thanks !

You wont believe the stupidness I am capable of... I've forgotten my Wiimotes !!!! Angry
Is there any cheap compatible hardware I can buy ? If I buy no IR reciever, will I be able to play my games without problems ?

Thanks a lot.
There's no IR receiver, it's a transmitter. It's needed for the wiimote pointer. The rest is done with bluetooth.
so, if u are using a game where u DONT need to point the cursor at the screen than you can.........or i think u can use hybrid wii mote to use the mouse to do that.
ya, now u can use the mouse too with real wiimote.

but wireless or usb sensor bars are really cheap, consider one from dealextreme.com or other sites.
