Interesting. Sound like it was developed to make you crazy Smile The speed gain using this procedure should go near zero, as the (small) flush also cost some time.
Unlike the amiga days, SMC is not used for speed gains in GC games. The GC game used SMC for virtual memory - allows the game to use more than the 24MB RAM that the GC has.

This sounds more like "save memory by unload a library and load another library".

Sorry. But this is not what SMC is standing for. This is just a simple swap.
