If I try to Dump Rendered Frames I get that error message, what do I do...?

EDIT: Forgot to say I get the error message when I start any game.

try using HyperCam (like i suggested in your other thread Tongue)

How about go to user/dump and create a folder named FRAMES. You must do this first

Works fine, too, but also seems to also only record sound from Mic even though I have Stereo mix as Default.

Works now thanks. xD Wonder why Dolphin can't make the Frames folder itself?

(No sound, though I was expecting something like that, since it only captures the frames... oh well)

cmccmc

as to why it dolphin doesn't create the folder itself is because this was only implemented once with no updates since and they forgot to add that code

LuisR14

i think the same thing happens for any other folder that Dolphin has to access Undecided

cmccmc

nope only this one

LuisR14

well for any save folder i have to create the folder Undecided
I would still prefer Fraps, since this feature is not working properly and slows down the game

Are you running on Vista/Win7 with Dolphin in a protected place, like the Program Files folder? Vista and up restrict the places programs are allowed to write to, and/or redirect those writes to another directory, and this causes all sorts of issues for the sake of "security".

Dolphin shouldn't be having issues creating files in its own directory. On Vista, I ran dolphin (compiled and everything) from a folder on my Desktop, but I haven't installed VS 2008 on Win7 yet so I can't speak from experience there.
