Haha. I Failed.

Here's the fixed version. Also changed the "connected to . wiimotes" matching to the variable %i in the actual pot file. Thx for fixing that one!

Attachment: Newest version of german:

The patch posted by Jack Frost seems to have fixed the problem regarding saving the language. I suppose it's intentional, but "Spanish" doesn't show up anymore on my dolphin config window, but instead <System>, which is Spanish. I guess that's working correctly, but still, I would leave the system language as an option on the list. Even if you CAN use <System> already.

BTW, I do update my translation in my last post quite often. I guess when the graphics and DSP windows get fixed, I'll spot some more fixes. Hope that issue can be patched as well!

and where could I find the latest main POT?
In this thread I just see the PO file.
Well, JackyCola already posted the link, just remember that you're supposed to create your own PO-file from the POT-file, because the latter one is always updated with new strings. En.po there is just for silly OSX sake.
I'll post it again. Would be cool to update the 1st post with the link. And maybe notice about changes so we translators know when to update.

Updating Language File:

-> Download http://dolphin-emu.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/Languages/dolphin-emu.pot
-> Open your old .po file in Poedit
-> Menu > Catalog > Update from POT file
-> Accept.
-> Notice: New strings will be added. Updated Strings will be marked "fuzzy translation" (orange). Make sure to look if you need to update those and then unmark them.
-> Save as normal.
Dario: I removed all languages where we do not have translations for yet. The old system was simply using the same languages as the GC stuff, which turned out to be not that useful. You can always do your testing by using one of the existing languages (and replacing the given Languages/<lang>/dolphin-emu.mo file) or using "<System>" in case your language is the same as the one from your operating system.
I noticed that if you put a language file in the languages folder(not subfolder), no other file is used by the program no matter what you select.
Okay, a new bit of information for translators. Once a language has been added to dolphin do not use the dolphin-emu.pot or en.po file for additional translations. From then on start with your languages po file and add/change that. So for example if you want to change the German translations open de.po in poedit and save that to de.po. Then submit the new po file here.
Here are links to the existing po files:
German: http://dolphin-emu.googlecode.com/svn-history/r6785/trunk/Languages/de.po
French: http://dolphin-emu.googlecode.com/svn-history/r6785/trunk/Languages/fr.po
Italian: http://dolphin-emu.googlecode.com/svn-history/r6785/trunk/Languages/it.po

@glennric

1. Question: Your links are the same files we uploaded. But if the dolphin-emu.po changes, the .de file needs to be updated with it...? For example when the "connected to . wiimotes" changed to "connected to %i wiimotes", then we need to update the de.po with the actual pot to make it appear in my translation... ?!

2. My patience is near the end. I posted my updated file so many times, and i asked so kind i could and offered to do whatever. the german version is totally outdated. I made a big update right after it was in the offic svn version for the first time. And I made fixes whenever something changed. Now there is still the oldest version with nothing working, and the worst is few posts ago YOU told me that i had no accelerators in my file... BUT I HAVE - It has just never been updated.

Again attached the fixed version (which has &accelerators and everything since "01-07-2011, 03:04 AM"):
Made few changes, updated with 6786 .pot.

Will be the newer revisions allways with the actual translations or almost?
It's not that easy to translate the descriptions of some settings, so there may be more updates I think. Cool

Updated version in post.
Updated my previous attachment again. Just the for the extra language strings.

Also, this was funny.

Quote:Added some languages:
Added Norwegian Bokmål thanks to KHRZ
Added Polish thanks to Baszta
Added Russian thanks to Kein
