I'll let the fps speaks for itself. If you want more review, google sandy bridge I was being conservative/generous when i say 10-15+ fps gains by switching from Core 2 quad/duo to Core i7 or Sandy Bridge :p Also, keep in mind that games that are optimized for multi-core will get the best performance in a modern day CPU. Newer is always better, not so hard to get into people head.

All of the games in that benchmark are getting 50 fps (almost always 60) or higher with a phenom II X3 except for the rts games....and something seems a little off with that farcry2 benchmark. Those results are way lower than what tomshardware got with the same cpus.

I did and all I got were reviews showing little to no difference in game performance between core 2 quad/core i7/sandy bridge in all but the rts games. Of course it's faster but YOU DON'T NEED IT. At this point an upgrade from core 2 duo to core 2 quad is justifiable if you play a lot of cpu heavy games. But an upgrade from core 2 quad to i7 is still not justifiable get. The GPU is the only bottleneck in 99% of circumstances as long as you have a high end core 2 (for pc games anyways). Your cpu needs to be total shit and you gpu needs to be godly for a cpu upgrade to be beneficial for pc games (except with rts games).

You need a a hexacore to get animated horses and cows.

What are you thinking about these results?Is my CPU bottlenecking my GPU?

Judging from these results alone i wouldn't say that. But this is a GPU heavy game, not a cpu heavy one to drive general conclusions.

So I cant do this since I have the pal game?

If you can play the time trial of rainbow road sure you can.

i just make the test and this is the first result
my spec is phenom 2 x4 965 3.4 stock at only 3.6
gtx 470 super overclock
1066 ddr2 hyper x

1x max fps was 179 lowest 155
2x max was 166 lowest 137
3 max was 155 lowest 120

i will make test later with msaa 4x a 9x and after that i will try all with oc cpu at 3.8

Could you post your fps after the race starts (see 1st post pics) since everyone has done it that way till now? Max and min fps of the stage are not very useful, and i probably won't be able to use them.
