I think i might just pick up a cheap tv when i get there or buy one before i leave.

the easycap usb device doesnt have lag...

Just because you had bad experience doesnt mean that everyone would have it the same. come on seriously virtual dub. buy some real good software and see the diference

even vlc can do it just FINE if you know what settings means what (or better phrased; know what settings to change)
