I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but IMO speed is better than graphics, but graphics can sometimes speed up Dolphin. So I don't really know, except playing slow games isn't fun...

In what way? I had a pentium D before I got my Q6600 and it was a great cpu at the time.

Well, of course you can't say the Pentium D was worse than Pentium 1, but compared to what the competition sold, the Pentium D was way below average.
Intel rushed the Pentium D, because AMD already had their first dual-cores.
Intel didn't even finish writing instructions dedicated to D, nor did they adapt the architecture.
They just sold two P4 on one die.

It was an excellent cpu. The absolute top of the line athlon X2 were SLIGHTLY faster.
