I am Planning on Getting a New Graphics Card With The Chistmas Money I got.
which is like 70$
(PS. I dont Usually buy newer games like call of duty black ops. so i dont need a POWERFUL and up to date graphics card. most reasent game on my shelf is crysis. or GTA IV)
I was looking for deals online. and i found several cards that are TWICE as powerful as my Graphics Card.

System Updates--- Its checked every two days. sometimes everyday.

system health/performance---
I defragment my hard disk every week.
check for disk errors every other week.
and i run at recomended power.
also i use gamebooster to add a bit more performance while i play games.

your pc is ok for many games but dolphin is very hard in cpu you should reach max in mario kart double dash new super mario bros but smg and donkey kong return will run slow . for get more speed buy cpu for increase graphic setting buy a gpu.
I have your self configuration but with ATI 4870 and win 7 64 bits.

I recomended to you buy ATI minimun with memory DDR3... and install windows 7 64 bits with your configuration and this GPU you play almost 80% of games of minimum 30 FPS.

Happy new year
That cpu will struggle with many of the heavier games.

Like which games are you speaking of?
right now i only plan on playing GCN games. cuz i dont think my pc will handle many wii games. it handled brawl very nicely though
PS. Do you guys have any graphics card suggestions?
super mario galaxy 1 and 2
the legend of zelda twilight pricess
mario kart wii
donkey kong country returns
metroid other m

just to name a few that are heavier in the cpu
and if i have to suggest video card i will have go
a AMD Radeon HD 5570 its cheap and it has performance
I would recommend at least a 5670 depending on resolution, efb scale, AA, pixel lighting, and pixel depth.

Thanks for the suggestion..
i am gonna try to upgrade to a quad core once i save up enough money.
i also think you ment ATI.. not AMD
or am i wrong?

is this one HD radeon too?
knglrk
twilight princess IS one of the ones im trying to play with. XP
so if i get that graphics card.. will my CPU stuggle to run it ..
woulld it be really bad?
cuz i can live with 25FPS XP
right now what i have it runs it between 9 to 28 FPS
9 on heavier places
28 on regular gameplay sometimes it goes up to 32
and also thanks for your replies, this is actually helping me pick a more suitable graphics card for me
i was wondering if this one will work too...
EVGA

or would it be better to save up a bit more money to go for this one
ATI RADEON HD 5570 DDR3 1GB PCI Express Video Card
theres two versions though
DIAMOND
and
XFX
is there any diffrence that would affect the performance?
Quote:i also think you ment ATI.. not AMD

They are one and the same at this point. The two companies merged back in 2006.

Yes all modern radeon cards have HD at the beginning of their name.

And yes the GT 430 will work just fine (the first link). A 5570 is BARELY faster but it is faster.
