The emulator has undergone some substantial changes since the readme was updated last. I was wondering if anybody would like to update the readme file?
Maybe it could be a collaborative effort of a few people. Not sure how to structure the change, maybe using this forum or updating the wiki?
I have attached the current readme. I guess it could do with updates to the requirements, how to use the emulator, what the controls and keys are?
I'd be happy to contribute. Can I get locked in so I don't waste my time doing something someone else is, anyone care to collaborate?
There are some tooltips that could use updating/new additions too, I can do that in the code myself and propose a patch.
erm.. yeah, you're locked in. First come, first serve really.
Others can contribute - up to you to compile it together.
Well I don't know everything so I will do everything I can that I can do well - tomorrow.
I may be able to help as well, but don't lock me in for sure.
How detailed are the requirements in the new read me going to be?
I mean as far as CPU requirements go will it account for the performance difference between CPU technology?
For instance Core2 was much faster at the same clock speeds than the p4.
I am also interested in what these requirements are based off.
Is there some sort of freeware demo rom that you use to set these requirements?

Haha something like 3dmark which runs different emulation stuffs and the faster it runs the more points you get.

You're right on all counts. The CPU requirements are hard to nail down as the variation between CPU's is wide. A demo ROM would be great to test the general speed of the emulator (CPU and video), however we do not have one written. I noticed that MUPEN64 includes one in their installation and I think that is a great idea.
Personally, I would pen down a recommended CPU of a Dual Core 3.6Ghz with no minimum requirements. The minimum requirement depends on what you can bare in terms of the emulation speed...
How soon do you need it skid? I can help if and only if it's still not done by jan 1st.
NaturalViolence, yeah, the more help the better. Just co-ordinate with xenofears, I guess.
