Ah you're right, I just saw 256-bit mem interface and thought "not a 4850," but I forgot that it's the 4770 that has the 128-bit interface.

I don't think offloading to the graphics card would work a ton, since a lot of the stuff being done on the CPU is not necessarily able to be split up very well, and graphics cards excel at multithreaded stuff more than single-threaded.
