dolphin is not finish some time in smg there some slow but that is normal i7 got that too yes amd phenom 2 x965 is enough for dolphin and like you said a little overclock will give you the boost need to get decent speed for perfect emulation in smg . we will need to wait but my phenom2 x4 965 do the job really nicely at 3.8or 3.9 but you will need to buy you a cpu cooler amd phenom 2 x965 cooler is weak
ok thank you very much for your reply
So go for amd ^ ^
And what cooler would you advise me? and thank you

I'll start reading tutorials on overclocking, I hope it's not very hard ^ ^
More or less with any cpu of today and a HD5700 whatever slowdown is emulator thing, should improve with time.
theres a point that this emulator gets bottlenecked by itself.
i mean most times my game is running slow i check the processor and the video card usage, and both isnt being used 100%
processor like 75% and games like zelda runs slow even without using 100% of processor...
im pretty sure this processor is able to run it, but id recommend a core i5, or a phenon x6 1090t, my advice, never be cheap on processors since its a new rig u can expend a little bit more and get a better processor.
yes. i have mine overclocked to ~3.8 with a core voltage of 1.47!!!
And you play quietly ? Without bugs or lags and at full speed ?
I have an Intel overclocked to 3.6ghz and I do not get full speed all of the time in SMG. It might be full speed in some parts of the game only.
what processor do you have ?
I know a friend have Phenom 965 3.4Ghz,we have the same FPS (E5300 3.4Ghz,Nvidia 9800Gt vs 965 3.4Ghz ,Ati 5770, both resolution are 1400x900)
Mario Galaxy 2 on dolphin r6535
Ingame : 38-55 (quite smooth though sometime the game is laggy,FPS drop down to 30 FPS )
OC your Phenom to 3.8Ghz would be nice
