Would also like to know. If there is some definitive reason why Win7 users should be using xaudio over the default dsound then thats the type of thing that should be included in a config tooltip.
DirectSound is layered over a WASAPI session and has higher levels of latency, incurring a sometimes noticed amount of audio lag depending on audio equipment used.
The difference is small but it is there. xaudio2>dsound>openAL (in my opinion).

doesnt think that my cpu is to weak because usage is around 20-40% on the two used cores while playing dolphin.

but i think i found the problem...

seems to be a problem with dolphins iso loader because when i mount the image in deamon tools and select the proper drive there's no stuttering at all.
but mounting in deamon tools is no option for me because my girlfriends and my child also plays some wii games and they cant handle such things on a computer ;D
