Still won't do. The GameCube has one 400 or so MHz CPU, and twice 266 MHz isn't enough to run it. You'd need at least one CPU of at least equal power to the host you want to emulate, and that's assuming you have perfect recompiling, which is probably not the case.

By the way, it isn't just the PPC that needs to be emulated, but the DSP as well which is a co-processor. I wouldn't be sure how well HLE would transition to a console such as the PS3 given that HLE emulation for the DSP is extremely buggy and hacky on the PC version of Dolphin, sound would likely be completely butchered with a port. No way LLE emulation would work given how powerful just the DSP processor is, then emulating the PPC and graphics hardware as well.
Shortly put it's not going to run fast or well, at least not right away if at all, regardless how powerful everyone thinks the PS3 may be.

Could be a joke as there was absolutely nothing on the google page.

There are a few issues in the tracker, but when I went there was still nothing about the code itself.

Kind of disappointing. Enough to emulate gamecube games?
Probably not at least on dolphin. Not to mention it'd have to translate ppc instructions to ARM
probably not going to happen
(But never say never... Psp only has a 333mhz processor and it can emulate N64 which is at 93mhz)GC has only a 166mhz processor, maybe 2x of those arm cpus might be *just* enough

Yeah but N64 emulation is quite slow on the PSP, or so it was when I last tried.

Yeah but no one seriously expected 360 level hardware in a handheld.

0_0 that has to be a joke right, what was the logic behind that idea.
It wasn't. Thread here.
Guy probably didn't knew a GameCube has 43 MB of RAM and a DS has 4 MB of RAM. (Along with the processor power problem, of course.)
My... my hope for humanity just hit an all time low...

If the PS3 can't emulate GC, what makes you think a 3DS can do it? Not to mention 166Mhz is the GC's GPU speed where as the CPU is 400+Mhz (don't remember the exact number).
Those 3DS specs are only speculation and not real numbers. It could be higher or lower, but definitely won't be near PS3.
