For some games, without high texture quality or graphics bumped up it should run at decent speeds.

Both the cpu and gpu listed are totally insufficient for most games.

Hey , literally JUST heard about this whole dolphin thing.. great timing since I just ordered a new heatsink, HDMI Cable,GTX 460 1gb , and some 1tb hds to finish off my HTPC/Gaming Rig....
Im running an:
e8400 3.0ghz OC'd to 3.4ghz
4gb 1066 ram
9800GT 512mb
How will I run dolphin on my rig ATM ? Will I be able to play most or all games in 1080 or at least 720p on my 42" via HDMI ?
When I get the heatsink and new GPU ill be able to OC to close to 3.8-4.0ghz with the e8400... and will be running a gtx460 1gb so im sure itll be a lot better
I notice you need to do a lot of tweaking for each game ,is there any way you can download a "Game Profile" that has all the settings tweaked for the game it's tied to so you can just load it along with the ISO? That'd be really cool if it could be added as a feature.. or a server-side database of all the 'profiles' so when you load an ISO it auto d/ls and loads the settings so the game runs correctly..
Thanks guys!

Your current gpu (the 9800GT) is powerful enough to handle 1080p if you turn off certain settings like SSAA. A GTX 460 should have no problem running games at 1080p even with SSAA, per-pixel lighting, etc.
An e8400 at 3.4GHz should run most games at fullspeed or close to it. Some heavier games like super mario galaxy though will not (even if you OC to 4 GHz).

Alright cool, so for now my best bet is to download an ISO, Then match config settings up with ones in the posted thread here, and ill be able to play like that with an e8400 3.4ghz?
Im gonna OC it to 4ghz but even then i can't play zelda or mario galaxy on full speed?
Does lowered speed effect it very negatively or will it still be fun and playable?
Thanks

No. Your best bet is to rip the game which you legally bought yourself. These forums do not condone piracy, READ THE FORUM RULES BEFORE YOU POST. Piracy is not to be mentioned here, period, we don't care if you already own the game.

Your CPU is good but GT240 has some problem with dolphin(search the forum or google for detail)
