Why is it that some (many?) PAL versions work while NTSC don't? Is there a general issue with something in NTSC games or does each have each own different problem?

And the reason I'm asking is, are my NTSC games that don't work going to work all at once at some point in the future, or rather seperately with seperate fixes and in the needed order only if I'm lucky? PAL Brawl, Dragon Quest, etc., they all work, apparently, but not the NTSC. And while Brawl is probably going to be fixed quite soon, that doesn't necessary means so is my DQ Swords Sad ... or does it?

Hopefully reading about the architecture will help you understand why one might work and another won't. It's a emulator in progress and what coding they do might work for one, but not for another.

As far as your question about NTSC magically being fixed one day and all of them working, I think you should be able to logically figure that out on your own. It's common sense.

So, basically, you have no clue, or are otherwise completely unable to explain anything. Still, thanks for any kind of input, even if it's zero input, I guess.
LOL, I understand the difference between PAL & NTSC probably better than most. I've created & converted video formats for both NTSC & PAL. I, however, have a strong belief in people educating themselves. Why are you upposed to learning something? If you have enough interest in it to post a question, then you should educate yourself on the topic as much as possible and use the tools provided to answer your own question.

Crazy concept, I know.
We don't know why :p And you certainly won't find the answer on those links.

I probably will. To some extent, it's even due to your "input". So - to some extent - you have even been helpful! Crazy concept, I know!
