SandyBridge I am getting is 2500 which is 3.3Ghz stock speed with 3.7Ghz single core max turbo.
If Ivy Bridge comes out, I am guessing that it will have 4.3Ghz stock and about 4.5Ghz single core max turbo. well...I guess there is some difference.

It's yet to be seen... but it's likely going to be quite an improvement. I wouldn't wait up for it if I were you.
