Thanks for testing. Looks like the FIFO changes in r5699 killed it - same as Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll and Pokemon XD. Will try to fix this for Christmas

finally something to look forward to in that damned season ^^
have you guys also tried switching to JITIL?
Here is a quick run on Dolphin you guys. Game works SVN 5696

wuääh, why is Donkey so low res? do you have EFB to RAM selected?
Also those greenish buttons look like they would be fixed by enabling safe texture cache.
Here are the settings on high. I haven't setup my dolphin for playing because I stopped using it for awhile and just downloaded the emulator to show some runs of the game. EFB is off on here.

EFB copy totally off? I'm surprised there's so much rendered then...
EFB to Texture is mostly the best choice.
Played with the settings here is DK rendered correctly.

aaaah, now that's a sight for sore eyes

Hey Obscured, how's your sound working? I also have the game running full speed on 5696, but the sound keeps on dying. SFX disappears randomly and sometimes the music messes up too.
I'd play it on my wii but I hate the control scheme. It's much better without the idiotic waggle, lol.
any settings changes you guys made to the 5969 build, I cant seem to get it past black seen using the build.
I can get to the wii controller screen under dolphin software renderer but cant get past that it looks like it is not detected my mapped keys
