[Wii] Swords

Swords is a Bushido Blade-esque 3D Fighting game in which players use their Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus accessory to engage in real-time, first-person swordfighting. Gamers must travel through time to battle eight of the greatest warriors ever, including a Viking chieftain, an Arthurian knight, a violent princess, and hunter droid from the distant future. Players can sharpen their skills and learn important new combos through training challenges in which they learn carving, sparring, and blocking, and they can then put all of their skills into action by battling a horde of zombies. The true action comes in the form of tournaments, where gamers can earn powerful new swords by dispatching foes and defeating the powerful bosses. Multiplayer fans can also square off against a friend in head-to-head combat, or two players can team up to take on the training drills. -Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

Tested on Lectrode's 6262M x64 SSE3 build.

General Settings

* Dual Core: Enabled
* Idle Skipping: Enabled
* Frame Limit: 60

D3D9:

* Vsync: Off
* XFB: Enabled (reduces menu flickering)
* The usual...

DSP:

* Enable Audio Throttle: Disabled

Known Problems:

The Motionplus sometimes seems to get confused and controlling the sword becomes troublesome.

Consensus:

Seems to run great! For some reason, having vsync on in the d3d settings causes the vps to run at 30%. However, runs great with the above settings!

have you tried XFB or Real XFB? Sometimes that kills flickering.

i dont bother. in my experience xfb degrades the hd look that you get on dolphin. id rather deal with the flickering.
no, that was a long time ago. it shouldn't degrade graphics anymore.

Only "real XFB" lowers the resolution, "xfb" set to virtual doesn't.

Cool. I shall update the post. Also, has anyone had success actually playing this game with Motion+ ? My sword always seems to turn wack about 10-20 seconds into the round and I can no longer control it.
Yes,I'm playing with Motion+ but the movement doesn't correctly match 100% all the time ,sometime it lose sight

same problem with Ninja Blade game, not fixable.. Sometimes sword will align incorrectly and you die, lol.
have you tried on the real Wii? I don't have these games, but from Wii Sports Resort sword fighting I know that if you fiddle around too wildly, the alignment gets f***ed up.
on the real wii you can re-calibrate the motionplus device.

you can do that on dolphin too but it seems to have little effect..
