In menus?
I'm having some weird problems running this game. Here's my setup

i7 930 @ 3.8 GHz
GTX 480
6 GB RAM

Using the d3d9 backend, I'm getting weird fps fluctuations. I tend to get the exact same fps (same drops in the same placed by the same amount) whether I'm using 1x or 3x the internal resolution. Sometimes, I even get worse fps at 1x than 2x. I'm playing the first stage of planet wisp, and using the exact same settings, I'll run through the first part of stage (Through all the grass) at a perfect 30fps, and sometimes at 20fps. It seems completely random. I don't have this problem with any other game

Any ideas?

I' m gonna try what Lordvador said ...

Thanks guys !

There really is no reason to get more. The game is designed to run at 30fps, much like LoZ:TP and Madworld. Can you run the game at higher fps? Sure. My system can run alot of games at 10-15fps+ then what they normally would. But everything is speeded up, and doesn't make it fun at all. Hell, I can run NSMB at 105fps. Doesn't make it look any better.
The thing about this game for the NTSC-U version at least, is that while 30 fps is the normal ingame speed, the game seems to run at 60 fps for movies and on the overworld map when selecting a level. For example on the level select screen it's too slow if it runs at 30 fps, if you run the game with efb to ram it seems to limit the level select/overworld screen to 30 fps which is laggy.

Try to check VBeam Emu
game also runs at 30 here and seems slow. assigning manual 60fps and removing the audio throttle makes it run in the 40's but i have another issue. the game defaults to gamecube pad always i cannot make it use the wiimote any ideas?

EDIT: nevermind the wiimote problem. had to go to gamecube tab and disable the 1rst control. now game defaults to wiimote.
30 is regular fps for normal gameplay speed
yea you are right, 30 is about right. just had to get used to it.
