Now im thinking the bs is completely random on asteroid coaster jumping into water on act 6 causes a bs but not jumping and using the platform to get in it doesn't. btw is anyone here using a US NTSC version of the game mine is European.

Looking at you computer's specs, maybe. Try it.
Maybe? I have a bad feeling about this. What if I told you that I'm going to OC to 3.6?
Xcyper I have a similar rig to yours(except I have an ATI card) and I'm able to get a solid 20fps ingame(remember, this is out of 30) at around 70-75% speed. The weird thing is, everybody says that enabling antialiasing and other graphic goodies kills this game, but it seems to run at the same speed no matter what resolution, antialiasing level, or extras I have enabled. This is actually frustrating me because I keep wondering what the hell is bottlenecking my performance.
Getting back to the pink wisp / spike wisp bug -- I'm 90% sure now that this has nothing to do with your gpu. I can also vouch for the "it's probably a collision issue" theory because I've been able to use the pink wisp if I keep jumping around like crazy and not letting the spikes actually "grind" into the walls/ground. I also agree that it may have something to do with the cache, because when I was messing around in Star Carnival(stubbornly trying to get the red rings that require the pink wisp) I noticed that there were certain areas where it'd be okay and not freak out, and they were consistent no matter how many times I went there. But when I kept reloading from a save state the emu cleared the code cache and the "safe spots" changed, much to my irritation.

Your CPU. It's nearly always the CPU with Dolphin =)

Wowzers. I highly doubt it's your setup. It has to be the emulator. What resolution do you play in?
For some reason the game comes up with the Gamecube Controller under: "Current Setting" when I start up the game, with no way to change it. I can't use the wiimote in game at all but I can press the home screen and either the icon comes up saying I can't go the the home menu or the home menu comes up. The game itself is fine, I can get up to the point where it says, "press start" and sonic and the wisps are running towards the screen, but nothing on the wiimote works.
you need to disable all gamecube controllers in the main config.

That did it. Thanks.
