Simple way to be sure? Use a gecko cheat on a real wii, that sets Sonic's X/Y/Z location to somewhere absurd.
If the effect is the same, black screen with HUD graphics, and nothing happening, there's your answer.
good idea. someone should try. I have no idea about that whole gecko stuff, unfortunately.

How do fix it? I don't know but this problem doesn't exist in open GL and Direct X9 but you can loss some game effects with this two plug-in

?? I used both open GL and DX11, didn't notice any problems; DX11 lagged sometimes but it was okay. Dx11 is quite new, but you may download the latest revision and use the settings I posted before. I am using PAL (EU) version, maybe that could be the problem (NTSC setting)?

Dude, NEVER say "newest revision", tell us WHICH one exactly >_>
Neo, it's not a simple one revision, but more than one of then. I belive that problem starts in the in some late 6450 (it's bugged too), I don't know how. But in the newest build I tought (rv 6470) this issue exists and in (6460) and probably in older revisions, well, I don't know after the 6449 (my last stable build)
well yeah that sounds a lot different than "in the latest revision" ...
Could you please narrow down in which revision it worked last?
