Not true. Ask anyone here who has both a core 2 and i7 system and they will tell you that thanks to the higher memory bandwidth games will usually run at least twice as fast with efb to ram at the same core clock rate. Comparing a Q9650 core 2 quad @ 4GHz vs. an i7 920 @ 3GHz the i7 blows the core two quad out of the water by far even though it's clocked lower.

I think this is a pretty good PSU. Should I get it?

Not a big fan of seasonic. Antec is a good brand that might have decent cheap units.

Seasonic is typically a solid brand, however they have had some hickups, like everyone else.

Well, at least it's way better than Cooler Master. :p
