Angelfirstly hello, and I had no idea about dolphin till now and awesome job. I'm buying a htpc for the living room asrock ion 330ht to emulate dolphin and movies. The specs are dual core 1.6ghz, 2gbram ddr2 and nvidia ion. Is this sufficient if not shall i invest on ram or a better graphic card. My kids will be mostly playing gc games. please pardon my lack of knowledge as I don't know and not too knowledgable regarding specs.

Thank you
im afraid that gc games will not even play with those specs
Not even with more ram and graphic card, I'm gutted!
dolphin emulator uses cpu as is main source of performance and not only ram / graphics card
Hi again, ok so tried it anyway and played mario kart double dash. It runs about 35fps with my CPU at 40. Which is quite slow. Is there anything else I can do to improve peformance or a log that I can post to you to look at.

Zelda something sword ran quite well.
is that the pc in the first post or another one ?
According to tomshardware benchmarks a dual core 1.6GHz atom 330 is only slightly faster than a 2.4GHz pentium 4 which is nowhere near fast enough to run almost any game at decent speeds.
yes it's the asrock ion 330, I've managed to overclock my CPU by googling by giving more memory I think and looks abit better. Picture is really good but It runs faster on default 640x480 with the bars on the side. Can you please tell me if a better graphic card would do or does it depend all now on CPU.

Thanks for your help
Getting a better video card will help, especially with higher resolutions. But getting better cpu will help A LOT more.
Bruv I understand what your saying about CPU but is there any way of me getting more out of the CPU I have. I ran mkdd again today at high res and my CPU was only 40% used and the game was runnig between 30-35 frames. Is there no way I can increase it to even 50 frames maybe or is it the graphic card slowing it down. I don't know what I'm talking about, I've never said graphic card before.
