Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hi everyone!
Ive got Remake of Resident evil (game cube 2 discs version) working with latest svn 6347.

Its running quite slow (around 20fps half the time)... I was thinking. Am I doing anything wrong? Tried quite some graphical settings and Cant et faster resoults (I got full speed once but background were green lol)

Or maybe Wii version (Archives) Would work faster in this emu?

This is my first time with Dolphin. I have c2d 2,45 2gb geil Ultra ram and 8800gt 512.
Running win7 32bit

I've got a pretty nice computer and RE4 just doesn't run great. I'm usually between 25 and 28FPS on my rig. It's the really huge areas that'll slow you down. Once you get further in the game where you're indoors it's not as intense but you'll have to play at low fps until then.

And I've played Wii and Gamecube, same fps. I prefer wii for the aiming.

no no no. I am talking about Re1 remake. The one with static backgrounds

Re4 is for pc so no need in emulating this imo

Wii version is perfectly emulated (video and sound).
Gc version is faster but there are some problems with sound and music. (Music is not always playing where it should)

yes. Ive noticed that. So besides glitches differences Wii version works slower?

So there is no point getting wii version if GC isnt working fast?
