It would be useful but i would spent less time tracking down proper settings (and enjoying the emulator of course). I'll think about it, the next version won't have it though as i didn't keep track of the changes i made (changes to Sonic Colors, Prince of Persia Warrior within and some other that i don't remember will be for the next one).

Another way of doing it (and less strain on link_to_the_past), is to set up a svn client and pull down the ini files from the cheats database googlecode. SVN will automatically update the files for you without losing your changes.
Version 010 is up. Changes to game ini files for Sonic Colours, Prince of Persia Warrior Within GC (it works fine by default now), Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero Smash Hits and maybe some others that i don't remember. Changes are applied to all game regions.

Gameconfigv010
btw, are these updates compiled with latest dolphin revisions or do he have to download them here?
This version should be downloaded for now as it is not included in the googlecode cheats database. From the next version though i will probably be able to commit them in the database directly, and they will be available to everyone. So there will be no new downloads here, instead this thread will serve as a place to comment about the ini files. I am open to suggestions and proposals for changes to be included, unfortunately till now i haven't heard many really Tongue. This was intended to be a community project in the beginning actually. Anyone who has tested a game and thinks it needs specific settings to work correctly can write it here and it may be included in the next version. Just don't suggest stuff like " My character has a missing limp, the menus don't show up, but what the hell the game runs fast with this option, will you include it?" as it will most probably not be included.
Aye, here's a bit from me:
(btw, do you need the numbers or something, or are the titles enough?)

(only wii games hereSmile

Donkey Kong Country Returns: disable DList Caching (though it only seems to produce one glitch on the save game screen, so dunno if that's worth it)

EA Active - More Workouts: disable "Force Filtering", enable "Safe Texture Cache

Little King's Story: Proj. Hack "Skies of Arcadia" (doesn't make the offset issue perfect, but much better)

Super Mario All-Stars Collection: needs EFB to RAM (I guess that's achieved by disabling EFB to Texture?), comment: has unfixable broken audio as of now

Metroid Prime Trilogy: needs Safe Texture Cache enabled. comment: games are unplayable due to multiple .dol handling not supported by Dolphin, yet

Red Steel: comment: only boots if a NAND Dump is NOT installed (freezes shortly after going ingame, though)

Resident Evil - The Umbrella Chronicles: Disable DList Caching (to fix white textures glitch)

Pangya! Golf with Style: needs Safe Texture Cache, comment: only boots if a NAND Dump is NOT installed

Squeeballs Party: needs Safe Texture Cache

Super Mario Galaxy: comment: needs "Enable CPU Access"

Super Mario Galaxy 2: disable DList Cache (the game is faster with it enabled but there are some graphical glitches), comment: needs "Enable CPU Access"

Tatsunoko vs. capcom: comment: disable GC controllers to be able to use wiimote

The House of the Dead - Overkill: Comment: use OpenGL for non-glitchy cutscenes; very slow, though.

Toy Story Mania: disable "Force Filtering", enable "Safe Texture Cache"

Ultimate Shooting Collection: comment: disable GC controllers to be able to use wiimote

And these games need "Force Filtering" disabled because it breaks their FMVs:
Deadly Creatures
de Blob
Rabbids Go Home
Raving Rabbids - Travel in Time
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Red Steel 2
Now that's what i 'm talking about Big Grin. Many of these will be included in the next version, they seem correct. I have just uploaded a rev btw with new additions in the google code so there is no reason to download from here files any more, they will be included in the next new rev. First post will be changed, this thread will only be to discuss suggestions for changes to the game.ini files from now on. Oh and names will do just fine.
goody Smile
Wii Play: needs DList Caching to be disabled (shows a black screen otherwise)
Just one quick thing for now.

The Gamecube game "NFL Street" (1) needs safe texture cache enabled for some text to appear correctly (players names and stats).
