Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

I'm trying to figure out how to put input into the game while frame stepping? Like I want to advance so many frames, then button press, then advance more but cannot figure out how to.

Once I enable frame stepping, no input is accepted and all I can do is step.

So, is this possible or no? Trying to get theoretical best times on Punch-Out wii, but cannot frame step and do input

The feature is very incomplete, mostly due to sync issues that Dolphin has, so not much work has been done on the TAS feature yet. I wanted to make tool assisted speedruns a while back and this is roughly what I was told.
