I was going to college for graphic design, but decided against it because I don't have the work ethic for it. That doesn't stop me from doing side projects like this.

I've actually already made some posts on emutalk. Its not my thread so I'm trying to steer away from it. you can find it here (linking page 4 because that's where I come in) http://www.emutalk.net/threads/52991-Legend-of-Zelda-Twilight-Princess-retexture-WIP/page4?highlight=retexture

Like I've said before, I'm not the best texture artist in the world. I'm not even maxing out the possible resolution of the textures. I'm just trying to make textures that look like the originals but higher resolution. One of my quality controls is that when I'm done with a texture, I blur it and the original with a Gaussian filter and If they look to different I'll change something.

I'm actually writing a texturing tutorial right now that I'll be posting on my website in the next few days. Keep and eye on my blog for the update. I'm gonna outline my methods for dumping, texturing, and loading. I'm sure I don't have the best method in the world, but If there's anyone who either wants to start a project, or wants to help out with mine, Linking to a tutorial (on my site ^.^) will surely be a help.

Anyways, Here are some Links to Before & After screens from my project. Hope you enjoy them, and remember critique is welcome!

If you could identify all of the textures in the game and organize them, I am sure that alone would speed up work on texture mapping ten thousand percent. It'd be easier for others to join in if they have a list of textures that need to be redone.

Your URLs need the quotes removed from them, lol. I did it for my reply, they work. And use imgur next time Tongue

Btw, your before and afters are really awesome. They are good textures, give yourself some credit Tongue
But I like ImageShack.....

URLs have been fixed. I was using the quick reply and typed them by hand, other forums use different formats, and I'm no Forum guru either.

As for identification and organization, I've got a (what I believe to be) good system in place, but its still annoying work. If I had help on the project I would want people to help with that because, like I said, I have terrible work ethic.

Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate my textures. I'm a perfectionist and I'm trying REALLY HARD to make them look like the originals. I'm just trying to be modest because I know for a FACT that there are better people out there and I don't want to pi$$ any of them off.

I'm almost done with the tutorial I promised to put up on my website, I'll probably get it up before I go to sleep. I just need to take some screenshots and publish it live. The tutorial itself is written.

EDIT: Ok tutorial is up. Here's the link
