large L2 or L3 cache size will speep up dolphin?

thanks
Dolphin Uses Raw Processing Power and dont make much use of L2 or L3 cache ! performance increase may not exceed 1~2FPS upgrading from L2->L3 !!

@abcdefg249

Yes but not a lot.
I don wanna highjack your thread, but... What are these L2 and L3 caches btw?
This is a special, very fast type of memory included in the processor. It's used as a "link" between the processor and the RAM.
Okay, thanks Smile, learned something new today ^^.

cache size and latency also determine raw performance.
well , i didnt know that Smile !
- you mean that raw processing will be better if i updated from my athlon II x2 250 to a Phenom II with an L3 level of cache(with the same clock Freq.) ?? Would it increase performance to go for more L3 cache ? will it increase it even more if i go to higher L3 cache capacity ?
AMD chips are limited in instruction pipe performance for the most part
upgrading from l2 -> l3? You can have more l3, but it's slower than l2.
