Yes, when facing a wall or when in a indoor level, speed increases.

ThornTail Hollow and Cape Claw are two horribly slow places (sometimes FPS drop to 15).

I think that the truth is, this game is REALLY HEAVY on graphics, even in real hardware there's noticeable framerate drops (10fps, maybe) on those areas.
the 4350 isn't exactly high performance.
I now it isn't Tongue

But it isn't only me telling that. Even on real hardware there's small stutters on these areas.
I don't have Eternal Darkness, so I can't comment on that.
As for SF Adventures, the only place where i had noticable slowdows is Cape Claw when facing the horizon (with lotsa water and stuff on the screen, plus high viewing distance).

Well I get full speed, it's just the stutters and dips that are annoying. The framerate will dip and then go back up to about 60 FPS, very inconsistent. The stutters make the game a pain to play sometimes, it's not smooth by any means. At least in other games there is no stuttering, smooth gameplay even at a lower framerate.

could this be the same stutter like in supermario bros had like a month ago. the wii version

you using audio throttling?
Yeah, but this even happens without it enabled I believe.
might be the same issue as with Zoids:Battle Legends. it can't decide whether it wants to be 30fps(fullspeed) or 20fps
I think what skid was trying to tell you guys is that framerate issues may or may not be a core issue and more times than not is a video issue. An issue where something is supposed to happen in the storyline and does not happen as in the Eternal Darkness issue that was posted in the initial post is definitely a core issue. If you were to test many different revisions for the games you guys are talking about you'd have different framerates depending on what revisions was used, but with the ED issue the game will not proceed into the story further until the core issue is fixed.
