Nah, the internal resolution itself has nothing to do with the textures, it really is the size of our EFB target buffer.
However, that "EFB scaled copy" option affects the textures, since we are scaling the textures as well if they are created from scaled EFB copies (by the same factor as the internal res option).

4x4 = 8xSSAA

3x3 = 9xSSAA
4x4 = 16xSSAA

Dolphin's 9xSSAA is 3x3.

ah, i was thinking of x as by for some reason, lol, been reading up on AA so much lately its got my head in a mess lol.

not sure how you would get 2.5xSSAA though, 1.25x1.25?, be better off doing 2x1 or 1x2.

horizontals seem to get more aliasing than vertical.

I see, thanks.

Sorry for arguing about something trivial, I was just going by what rodolfo mentioned in regards to someones request to re-implement 2.25x SSAA.

1.5x1.5 = 2.25xSSAA. And yes, as I have mentioned several times 1x2 or 2x1 is a better alternative.

Usually, but it depends on the situation. Raising horizontal resolution will get rid of aliasing on vertical lines while raising vertical resolution will get rid of horizontal aliasing.
hmm, i always tough AA cost a lot of performance, but i have tryd it to test and its working pretty well with 9 x on. same framerate as witouth AA... hmm ok on a 720 p the framerates drops a bit, but only a little..
thats because its not working properly

change the EFB mode and back and it will apply properly, or restart dolphin.
Depends on the game and the resolution. He's using a 4850 so with a light game running at 640 x 480 9xSSAA would not have a performance hit. He said he had a small framerate drop at 1280 x 720, that seems about right to me.
Yes i think too its working fine, because the Graphics getting are better, but iam on 6257

Radeons eat dirt when using SSAA
