What the hell does this have to do with shadows?!
Nothing to do with the shadows, really
It's just people think that the main characters shadows are broken, since the dynamic texture artifacts follow the character(s) like a corrupt
shadow.
Also, even in the second screenshot, the rings look plain yellow instead of shiny/golden - there are some missing (unemulated)
shader effects
Changing to dx11 and integral 1x fixes the problem.
Too bad the image quality isn't as good as on DX9.
@Neobrain

about the shadow of the characters in RE0, what was broken in r5778, it is not possible to revert r5778 to fix this problem

(as they did in some svns that broke some things)
http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-11780.html dolphin r5778 broke Resident Evil 0 GC and Wii shadow effects.
I fixed ClearScreen() in DX9 and DX11, can't do more about it.
Yeah, I was going to say - it doesn't seem to be anything with the shadows themselves.
And as it was stated before, the only way to get that graphic glitch out is to use the DirectX11 plugin setting the EFB setting to 1x. I tried to do the same for the DX9 plugin and it doesn't fix it. Weird.
But even then (after working around this texture glitch), there are still 3 more problems with this game
- The corrupt/garbled fonts issue
- Really nasty system lockup (hard reboot needed) with the DX11 plugin on Windows 7 x64 after running the game for the second time
- The infamous 'misaligned polygons' artifact with the DX9 plugin:
WARNING: high-res screenshot
(that's on purpose, to get a better view of the issue)
and the unemulated shading/effects, of course.

That's right, I said shadow, because this error only happens when it is with the shadow, if you jump very high, the shadows disappear (of course) and this error too.
