I think that you have read a post like that i billion times but I'm really tired to stay hours and hours in front of my emulator that doesn't work!

I have a new laptop (only 7 days), and i was dreaming to have a gamecube since i was a child.

Features of my computer:
-Ram: 4Gb
-Operating system: windows7 64 bit
-CPU: Intel® Core™ M370 @ 2.40Ghz
-GPU: ATI Mobility Radeonâ„¢ HD 5470

I have downloaded dophin emulator in order to play "zelda twilight princess" (maybe it's a newest game) but when i open it my fps remain at 1 or 2. I have followed thousands guide and i have tried to download some built version but it's always the same old story: my fps are 1 or 2 maximum. I have read in some about "GcoS 1.5" (a graphic accelerator or something like that) but i don't know how to use it because i can't find a good link or if i find it, i don't know how to use it!

Please help me guys, what settings i have to change? What are all the settings that increase fps? Or it's my computer powerless?

The problem is your CPU. Even with Core technology, it's a One-core processor without HT, and its clock is not good enough.

I know this is gonna seem cliche and stupid to say, but if you dream of having a Gamecube since you were a kid, maybe you should just buy one. They're cheap now if you live in North America.

Also, I agree with the guy above me - your CPU is what is holding you back - Sorry about that.
That is not what is causing him to get 1 or 2 fps. Even my single core Althon 64 gets 20fps in Twilight Princess. Use the DX9 video plugin and enable efb copy to texture. But even still, you would be getting more than 1fps even if you didn't use those settings.

OK, I didn't catch that he said 1 or 2 FPS, but he still isn't gonna be able to run games at decent speeds with a single core CPU runnin' at 2.4 GHz.
For the record, yes he can run games at decent speeds with a single core cpu, but Twilight Princess is not one of them. There are a few though. Mario Party 7, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil Rebirth, to name a few. It does have to be a decent single-core cpu, though. A Celeron or a Sempron is not going to cut it.

Either way, I don't think he has a single-core cpu. I don't think they would package an HD5xxx series card in a laptop with a single-core cpu with Windows 7.
Oops. Tongue His CPU has 2 cores with HT. Sorry Blush

To topic's owner: can you post some screenshots of your setting?

Guys! I'm so sorry i make a mistake with my cpu: it's an "intel® core™ i3 CPU M370 @2.40 Ghz.. Now I post the screen shot of my settings. Please tell me that I have some hope!

This is the album of the images of my dolphin emulator settings.

You are using the Interpreter, change it to JiT Recompiler, this should give you GREAT speed increases... Wink
Also, with that CPU you should be able to run most games at decent speeds, but that depends a bit on your Graphics Card, and that I cannot help you with, I know nothing about ATI Hadeon XD
I'm surprised that you didn't see the comments after each CPU Emulator Engines.
Have they already showed you that?
Quote:Interpreter(VERY slow)
JIT Recompiler (recommended)
JITIL experimental recompiler
then why didn't you change it to JIT Recompiler in the first place, isn't it recommended and much much better than Interpreter?
