Using latest revision (6500+) and enabling MMU Speed Hack let me create a character and play, but the speed makes it unplayable. (around 5 fps)

CPU: Core 2 Duo E6850@3.3GHz
RAM: 4 Gigs (XP 32-bit only uses 3..)
VIDEO: GTX 260

Will try electorodex' special build later today..

the game works fine for me
i usually get around 55 to 60FPS
check your settings

Seems you haven't unchecked "Enable CPU Access". Check your Graphics settings and disable it in the EFB tab.
