Can Dolphin Be developed to use the GPU in the emulation of The Wii's GPU and CPU ?
i mean to use both real cpu and gpu to increase the FPS as possible while using native resolution !?
Thanks A lot !
OpenCL is already being used, but not that much. (Texture decompression) It probably wont be used for much more because it is harder to get opencl working on Radeon cards, and it would mean a complete reworking of the code.
Ehmm ! Very Disappointing , but thanks for the answer anyways !!
but its not fair that you need a very powerful CPU Like I7 with high CLK to get close to full speed in some games

But Dolphin Developers are able to surprise us all the time !!

This could be solved simply by adding the option to turn OpenCl and all related thing off so ATI users could choose not to use it (actually this is how it is

) but of course developing this part of the code is tottaly dependant on the devs focus and interest.
For some games powerful hardware is required due to processing of all the vertex data and other things, emulating the output of the Gamecube/Wii as accurately as possible without destroying speed is a monumental task that requires quite powerful hardware to run some games at decent speeds. OpenCL is not some magical fix, it isn't going overcome limitations of crappy or otherwise inadequate and underpowered hardware.
Your only real choice is to invest in more powerful hardware such as the Core i5, Core i7, Phenom II, upcoming Sandy Bridge architecture or save some cash and buy yourself a Wii and some games. That will allow you to run all games without any of the speed or compatibility issues that emulation has.
I wonder why NullDC ( Dreamcast emulator ) works so damn well.. I mean, with my hardware, it runs everything at 60 FPS. What I'm basically sayin' is this - do you really think it should require so much CPU power ( an i7 ? ) to emulate the gamecube efficiently ?
I mean, some of those i7 CPUs cost a grip.

Yep, unfortunately that's what it takes to emulate.
You don't have to buy a new CPU because noone is forcing you to use Dolphin. If you just want to play the game and are happy to deal with a decrease in visual quality, then use a real Gamecube.

I hear ya.. I'm currently playing through Resident Evil Remake and it's holding the 30 FPS very well.. I haven't tried increasing the graphics quality though. It's all basically native ( 640x480, no AA or AF ). I'm not knockin' the emulator in anyway. In my eyes, it's honestly a work of art.
also i guess goin for i7 i think is a bit of an exageration, I got a i5 750 (one of the earlly models) and i can play all games, just some not in 1920x1080 but 1280x720.
so i guess somethin not as new as i5 can handle a lot games too, if u don't want them running in hd

.
I just started wondering now.... did tyhe devs ever considered adding interlace display modes to dolphin? =o (this ussually helps a bit a processing =d)
There is not just the i7 around guys

I have an amd phenom II x4 and I think for games quad cores are enough. My re remake runs at 50 fps, fatal frame at 30 and re0 at 30. Those were the only games I wanted for the wii.
Then I have an ATI and opencl works fine, I mean if I tick it off the performance sucks.
