I have no problems with HyperThreading. (i7-3615QM) - Just check "Lock Threads to Cores" and you'll be fine.
Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure the DSP emulator thread (LLE on thread) doesn't get "locked" when lock threads to cores is on, only the other two.
What's all of this stuff I've heard about ditching Lock Threads to Cores anyway? It fixes Donkey Kong Country Returns.
It does? Can you prove that? What exactly was the problem that you were having with it off?
Without Lock Threads to Cores enabled there are random points of freezing in the game. I'll go check it out myself today. It's in the wiki page (http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Donkey_Kong_Country_Returns ) and also throughout the official thread.
