That graphics card isn't amazing but for dolphin you really rely mostly on your CPU so that's what you should be concentrating on. That's why I Was talking about your CPU, because the GPU does very very little.
edit: OK I did read them actually >_> your GPU is only going to be used for things like AA and higher resolution. Your laptop will hit at least 70C while playing most likely (that's fine honestly, I keep a fan on mine sometimes or just take a break once every 15-25 minutes)
You'll get very different results game to game. Some games run really well on mine, especially gamecube games. Some games won't run well at all. Your graphics card is fine for what you need but if I could make a suggestion for you:
Buy a low end laptop and a high end desktop/ build a desktop.
A high end desktop + low end laptop will run you the same price as a high end laptop and you'll get more functionality. Just keep that in mind.
Hm... that was a good post, very good advice. I may take your advice on the low end laptop, high end desktop thing. However I do have a bit of a problem with that. I purchased all the equipment to build a new desktop about a year and a half ago, and just never really got around to building it because I didnt need it, and the the motherboard is for the core 2 duo processor's only. I also bought a dual core processor and ddr2 memory. Unfortunately if I were to try to sell this stuff new I probably wouldnt get near what I paid for it, and it would kinda be a waste to sell all of that stuff and buy an I processor and ddr3 memory. The I processors and ddr3 are quite a bit more expensive than the dual core and ddr2 memory would be also, and my budget just doesnt permit that right now.
So im kind of stuck with the 3.16 core 2 duo and 4gb of ddr2 for now for a desktop. And I wont be able to do much overclocking at all because im using a LANBOX as my tower, which is very small - it was hell trying to find a CPU heatsink and fan that would fit. I am hoping that this processor will run the Dolphin decently.
Oh and by the way, im kind of stuck on my decision on a laptop now... I can buy an inspiron 15 with windows 7 and the pentium dual core T4400 and 2 gigs of ddr2 for about $300, or I can get the Vostro 3400 with windows 7 with the I3 and 2 gigs of ddr3 for about $420. Which should I go with?
Or make a External Fansink (mine is 12V adaptor,4000rpm)

an external fansink? I dont understand, what would this be for? To blow on your face as you sleep at night? lol sorry but I dont understand what your referring to, or what a fan on a desk could possibly be for. I can buy one of those at the store, and a much bigger one at that...
It keep my pc temp 10 C cooler when playing (blow directly to CPU,GPU,Ram) and it save more energy than the other fan
P.S Crazy idea btw

huh... I see. I think ill end up going with the lower end laptop, however I would still like an answer to my question about which one to get. Check a couple posts back.
You'll be fine with a core2duo depending on the model. DDR2 speeds won't make much difference with dolphin either. I would suggest you stick to the desktop and just buy a cheaper laptop.
Oh and as for the laptop I'd go for the i3 vostro for only 120 more. That's a big bump in performance.

But you are wasting water resources. So it is still not environmentally friendly.
thanks for the laptop advice, im not really worried about the Dolphin program, cus ive decided to go with the lower end laptop which isnt going to run Dolphin well anyway. So now im just trying to go with whatever will be a good vailue vs performance. If I can get this damn discount im supposed to get thru Dell then ill go with the I3 one. And for the record, Dell is an absolute joke now, they're customer service is absolutely atrocious now. They are acting like they could care less about losing a loyal customer and are making no effort to rectify the situation im in with my recent order with them.
So to anyone whos thinking of buying a Dell computer, I would save yourself the headache and not bother with them. The ONLY reason im going with them this time is because of the discount I SHOULD be getting... but thats yet to be seen.
Ok... ive now decided to go with the higher end I5 one as the price on it has dropped another 15 dollars, making it too good of a deal to pass up.
Now the issue is whether to go with the Vostro 3400 or 3500 as ive found both of them at the exact same price with the exact same configuration. Portability is important to me so I am leaning torward the 3400, but I would like to get some advice first. Is there anything that would be significantly better about the 3500 versus the 3400 besides the bigger screen? Would the cooling on the 3500 be better somehow? Please let me know soon as I am ready to order this at any time. Thanks.
Oh and again, here are its basic specs.
I5 - 4 threads, 3MB L3 Cache, 2.53Ghz Turbo Boost up to 2.8
3GB DDR3 @ 1066Mhz
320GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Geforce 310M GPU
Fingerpirint Reader
Bluetooth
HDMI
as well as other features.
I'm not sure of any main features that are different but those specs are fine for dolphin.
