Full Version: Hires textures color problem.

Well ive confirmed that the new builds are loading the textures but they dont downscale the higher resolution textures. So if the original texture is 128x128, and I double the resolution (256x256) the new builds dont downscale the new texture.

Here is an example of the latest revision with all the textures at their original resolution:

Why is this a problem?
Well first there is no "Hires texture loading" going on. Its just "texture replacement". Currently the resolutions are too low for any detail. They appear blurry. If we can increase the resolution by say 4x, maybe 8x we can add all sort of details.

Does this happen with opengl, direct3d9, or both?

The Hires texture that you have is for entire scenario. (Entire Game)

I brought this to the attention of some devs on irc. They are looking into it. They have some ideas as to what may be causing it.

Lol, I actually just started this re-texture project. So only a few texture have been done. I might open it as a community project later on if we can get the hires problem sorted out.

Try r6254, I think I fixed it.
