8,000 indian rupees is about $180, you could easily find a gtx 460 going for that price (if I remember correctly the lowest prices on newegg were around $169), maybe even cheaper if you search online.

i would buy it.

Firstly, the market in India is quite limited. Sorry, can't think about nVidia.

I am afraid of online shopping. And a GTX 460 is crossing Rs. 10k... that's due to various import duties, transportation cost, blah blah... and newegg is US shopping site. I don't think they will send their shipment here.
Now that it's been about 3 weeks, you can buy the new ati 6000-series cards.
A 6850 could fall within your budget range (if you didn't already buy a new card)

The same old answer : Not so soon released in India. But well, I just elevated my budget a little and found myself with almighty fermi, GTX 460 Wink

I think that would be perfect. (+ PhysX + Better Tessellation) Plus I am also getting new RAM sticks as my current one are just lame. CAS Latency of 5 @ 667 MHz... Tongue
ya, 460 is awesome for dolphin. Well chosen.

I also use a 480 until the ati6990's or gtx580 comes out, and have nothing bad to say about the fermi architecture
(not even heat is an issue in a normally cooled case)

you'll play new games and dolphin at reasonable settings for years with that card
Yes. I want my PC futureproof at least for 7 years. I can't get a new one till then. So, I carefully gambled on it...
