Still then, in all benchmarks, 4770 is a clear cut winner. And if I manage to get it overclocked to 870/1050 MHz, It can surely beat 9800 GTX+ or GTS 250 with ease, as per another benchmark.

About the processor, the Quad is worser in performance in Dolphin, but if you got other games you value, then this is the choice to make. You can also overclock the Quad, don't forget.
Overclocking is the pain in head here..... ~50 C room temperature, No AC = Very Bad Overclocking.
Maybe I need to depend on new Graphic card for my increased Dolphin performance boost. A Q6700 and Radeon HD 5750 is more than enough for dolphin at high settings I guess.... (but no SSE 4.1

just be patient and get a gtx460, it's WORTH it and might save you from upgrading your pc for like 5 more years

a gts 450 only costs 130 euro and it's faster than the hd 5750.
