Actually on my Core2Duo E8500 I could get 13 FPS - 15 FPS without the hack enabled, 16 FPS - 17 FPS is not far fetched depending on the hardware and my i7 system is able to do 27 FPS - 30 FPS in Hyrule Field without enabling the hack at all.
Anyways this is old news, the speedup hack has been added to the svn repository and is now included with everyone's builds.

Without the speed hack I can reach 15-16 fps xDDD, your i7 must be over 4Ghz

Well at stock 3.06 Ghz I still get about 22 FPS - 25 FPS without the speed hack, the i7 is damn fast even at stock so I wonder what the next Sandy Bridge architecture will have to offer in the way of performance.
