All it does is draw text on the screen.

Code:
if (g_ActiveConfig.bOverlayStats)
{
    Statistics::ToString(st);
    D3D::font.DrawTextScaled(0, 30, 20, 20, 0.0f, 0xFF00FFFF, st, false);
}

If you disabled that code, it would do nothing, it would be the same as disabling it in the GUI.
So I don't know what you want removed for this patch. :p

wow thanks !
but... how i disable these code ? haha....

in short i want : disable texts when we check on "overlay some statistics"

if u have some time pls download the link above and do it for me ? Big Grin

or tell me how to do

BTW "overlay some statistics" does increase speed in some games ! , i must say big sped boosting , strange eh ?

topic that proves this : (i tested and confirm it worked , that's why i create this topic Rolleyes)

He means, make the text transparent or by some sort of voodoo just make it disapear but have the game think that the box is checked. Overlaying text gives low end cpu's a speed boost of 50% or more. God knows why something as simple as that does. I mean it's only overlaying text right?

Here is a vid I made using my 2.1 duo core showing that it does increase speed.

I'd be one happy camper aswell if you can make the text transparent....somehow.
yeah im waiting for someone do it too but looks like nobody believes this topic =/
Overlaying statistics actually causes slowdowns Tried the build given @ first page & x64 6174 (the last build before the f***ed up wiimote problem)
4-player Brawl / Castle Siege: 100%
4-Player Brawl / Castle Siege + Overlay statistics: ~80%
Not important: Did this with XFB Enabled and it made the game stuttery (moved up and down)
Screenshot proof:

it does for some people...look at massive speed boost thread...

http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-11611.html

weird tho from what ive read it only works for low end computers...nothing happened for me tho
To all those who believe there is a speed boost use fraps.

It will give you the same indication with or without having the overlaying text box checked when xfb is enabled. It is a fake fps indication.
it's strange Undecided , swear with god it really really boost me , i do not experience any slowdown

im having E5300 SVN 6063
There is no slowdown because the game is still running the same speed as before. We are not saying it causes slowdowns, just that it doesn't increase actual game speed. I already chatted with the developers and they basically confirmed the exact same thing I mentioned, that is has no effect on actual game speed and that there is no way this would improve speed.

Perhaps try disabling AMD cool n' quiet or Intel speedstep as those are known the throttle cpu speed when using Dolphin and can decrease performance. It's likely you had some app running that increased your cpu speed, or the overlay statistics did this. Disabling cool n' quiet or speedstep in your bios should have the same effect if I'm correct.
