Out of curiosity amrititbhu what specific problem are you experiencing and what kind of steering wheel do you own?

I have a thrustmaster Ferrari GT experience 3in1. Everything else works fine, except that Dolphin does not recognise the rumble motors, but it does recognise my XBOX360 usb controller's motors. I have also tried it with Thrustmaster Ferrari GT experience 5in1.

I have tried the wheel with Dolphin 3.0-371 dirty, 3.0-415 dirty, Dolphin SVN r6224M, none of them recognise the rumble motors. The motors work because I have played other games with it. If there is workaround, would love to know about it.

Yeah, the problem is that Dolphin does not yet support directInput force feedback, only Xinput force feedback. I do not know why this hasn't been implemented yet. It's really disappointing. I have been using a dll file that was custom written from a friend of mine, that allows my specific wheel(ECCI 7000) to act as an Xinput wheel, so I can get rumble/ffb through that. It's a great workaround, but there needs to be real support from Dolphin for DI ffb, as a lot of us now own ffb wheels and want to play F-ZeroGX with them. Hopefully the devs will consider this.
Ask your friend to contribute a patch to Dolphin? Smile

We should raise this issue as a critical one. PCSX2 and other open source emulators do already support dinput rumble, so putting it in Dolphin shouldn't be much of a problem. Where should I post this?
Billiard any update bro? Sad Sad Sad
GCPad supports all the available period effects on my gamepad,

but you said lilypad work with all rumble types on your wheel, while gcpad doens't show any

This is because lilypad is made to work with the giant hack known as Logitech's drivers, while not working properly at all for any others. Square to Triangle all do something on my logitech force 3d, but nothing on my xbcd drivers in lilypad, where as GCPad, HaraKari, MS FEDIT, work on both.
I would like to give a very humble and sincere thank you to whomever(Billiard?) implemented support for the Game Cube Logitech Speed Force FFB steering wheel into the GC pad plug-in code. This really took me by surprise. I was looking through the various options and notice it said "Steering wheel" under the device settings port 1 drop down menu. I figured I'd select it and voila....true ffb wheel support. Fired it up in F-Zero GX and whaddayaknow.....the game actually sees the device as a Speed Force FFB wheel! Very very cool!

There is one problem I'd like to mention however.... some, well, most of the forces supported in this ffb plugin causes the game to lag like hell while they're enabled. The forces I can get to work without the game lagging is "Ramp" and "Square". If I enable Triangle, Sawtooth Up, Sawtooth Down, Constant, or Sine, the game will lag upon those forces being delivered to my steering wheel. Is anyone else having these problems? Please look into it if you can...
No that was skid, he and I hashed that out. I didnt really see the lag and I used constant force. Skid may jump in here.

OT.. why wont this thread die!
